Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Use Doug does not sell personal information in exchange for money. However, when you submit a request through this site, we share the information you provide with one or more licensed insurance agents or agencies so they can contact you. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and under similar laws in other states, that disclosure may be treated as a “sale” or a “share.” You have the right to opt out.
How to opt out
- Email. Send a message to hello@usedoug.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.” Include the full name, email address, and phone number you want covered by the request.
- Browser signal. Where required by law, we honor an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) transmitted by your browser or extension.
- Stop contact. Reply STOP to any text message, or ask any caller to place you on their internal do-not-call list.
What happens next
We will process your opt-out request within 15 business days and will confirm by email. Opting out stops future sharing of your personal information for these purposes. It does not require third parties who already received your information to delete it. To ask those parties to stop contacting you or to delete your information, contact them directly, or email us and we will provide the recipients we shared with where we are able to.

You may also have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access or obtain a copy of it, to request correction, to request deletion, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to appeal a denial. Verification and authorized agents
To protect your information, we verify requests using details you have already provided to us. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf if they provide written proof of authorization signed by you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
